This book is for students who want help with English grammar . It is written for you to use without a teacher.
The book will be useful for you if you are not sure of the answers to questions like these:

What is the difference between like and as?
These and many other points of English grammar are explained in the book and there are exercises on each point. Level The book is intended mainly for intermediate students (students who have already studied the basic grammar of English). It concentrates on those structures which intermediate students want to use but which often cause difficulty. Some advanced students who have problems with grammar will also find the book useful.
The book is not suitable for elementary learners.

Если вы спросите любого, кто когда либо изучал английский язык, по какому учебнику они изучали грамматику, то 9 из 10 вам ответят, что это Raymond Murphy. По Мерфи знамалась я сама, будучи школьницей, уже более 13 лет назад. Сейчас этот учебник по-прежнему один из основных пособий для занятий английским с детьми и взрослыми в моей библиотеке.

Так что же делает пособия «English Grammar in Use» автора Raymond Murphy такими легендарными?

Во-первых, формат учебника прекрасно подходит как для занятий в учебном заведении, так и самостоятельного изучения. Каждый учебник состоит из 100 — 130 юнитов с подробным описанием и упражнениями для закрепления материала.

Вот именно таким образом автор предлагает свои уроки по грамматике. Все левые страницы содержат правила и примеры, а правые — упражнения. Мне очень нравится тот способ, с каким автор подходит к подаче правил. Он сначала показывает все на примере из реальной жизни, сравнивает, а только потом объясняет само правило.

Во-вторых, грамматика Мерфи — это замечательный справочник. Если вам нужно вспомнить то или иное правило, вы без труда найдете нужную информацию за считанные секунды. Множество приложений в конце учебника охватывают практически весь грамматический материал английского языка.

В рамках одного учебника юниты объединены на группы: Present and Past, Future, Modals, Passive, Question и т.д. Это значит, что вы последовательно будете переходить от простого к сложному и сможете потренировать различные аспекты одной и той же грамматического категории, например Present Simple или Passive Voice.

Однако следует отметить, что важным недостатком учебников Мерфи является наличие небольшого количества упражнений как для простых, так и для сложных тем. Тем самым, отработать пройденный материал не всегда получается, приходится обращаться к дополнительным сборникам упражнений, например .

Несмотря на недостаток упражнений, могу сказать, что грамматический материал выдан в объёме, необходимом для свободного общения на языке и понимания большей части сказанного и прочитанного. Более того, на мой взгляд, «English Grammar in Use» подойдёт для . В целом, очень хорошая книга, проверенная временем и не одним поколением учеников.

На мобильные устройства довольно сложно найти по-настоящему стоящее приложение, которое бы позволяло обучаться английскому языку. Да, существует множество приложений, где собраны словари или тестовые задания, но с помощью них практически нереально получить новые знания. Давайте рассмотрим, чем это приложение так хорошо и действительно ли, оно помогает выучить времена и многое другое.

Загляните в это меню, как только установите программу на свой смартфон. Тут можно найти слова, которые будут часто встречаться в процессе обучения. Это своеобразный словарь по узконаправленным темам. Рекомендуется заходить в это меню и в том случае, если во время прохождения урока что-то непонятно. Нажав на определенный термин, пользователь получает всю необходимую информацию о нем, а также ему предлагается к просмотру блок, где используются данные слова.

Units

Весь процесс обучения делится на блоки или разделы. Шесть разделов времен «Past» и «Perfect» доступны в пробной версии программы. В English Grammar in Use присутствуют все основные темы, которые помогут овладеть грамматикой английского языка на среднем или даже высоком уровне при должном подходе к занятиям.

Lessons

Каждый блок (Unit) делится на уроки. Изначально ученик получает информацию о теме, которая будет изучена в этом уроке. Далее нужно будет выучить правила и исключения. Все объясняется коротко и понятно даже для новичков в английском языке. При необходимости можно нажать на соответствующий значок, чтобы диктор произнес предложение, которое разбирается в уроке.

После каждого занятия нужно пройти определенное количество тестов, задания которых основываются на изученном материале. Это поможет закрепить и еще раз усвоить выученные правила. Чаще всего нужно будет прочесть предложение и выбрать один из нескольких предложенных вариантов ответов, который является правильным для данного случая.

Дополнительные правила

Кроме основных тем занятий на страничке урока часто находятся ссылки на дополнительные правила, которые также необходимо выучить. Например, в первом блоке встречается ссылка на короткие формы. Там приводятся основные случаи сокращения, их правильные варианты, а также диктор может произнести определенное слово или фразу.

Еще в первом блоке встречаются правила с окончаниями. Объясняется, где какие окончания нужно использовать и приводится несколько примеров для каждого правила.

Достоинства

Недостатки

Это все, что хотелось бы рассказать, о English Grammar in Use. В целом, это отличная программа на мобильные устройства, которая помогает за короткий срок пройти курс грамматики английского языка. Отлично подойдет как для детей, так и для взрослых.
